Dominique Cares was formed to give hope, support, resources, and services to individuals with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, ADHD, mental illness, and all other disabilities, along with their families. Additionally, we believe we are an organization determined to bring awareness and acceptance to the community. This is possible through the partnership and collaboration of other nonprofits, businesses, the educational sector, community leaders, and local, state, and federal agencies. We are committed to increasing awareness and acceptance, fueling action to make a difference in the lives of those impacted. Together, we are better, and we are determined to make life better for someone else. Will you join the movement?
The initiative aims to provide financial support for services, provide parent and caregiver training, promote awareness and change, offer mentorship and coaching, and foster partnerships with professionals and the community. To do all of this, we need our community's help in furthering our reach and who we get to help. So don't wait any longer; sign up today to help a child and family in need!

Parent training workshops aim to promote healthy family balance, mental and emotional stability, and productivity. We teach parents and caregivers how to advocate for resources and services, preparing families for success. Being informed and empowered is crucial for navigating this journey. Support from other families creates a sense of community for special needs families. Parents learn about the impact of disabilities on individuals and families and learn resources and techniques to overcome challenges. They can use strategies at home to enhance learning and behaviors and participate in positive transitions as individuals age out. Additionally, a Special Skills Academy basketball program for kids with disabilities is developed in partnership with Saving Soles/Kingdom Performance and offered twice a week free of charge to the community.
Our individual family support services help families immediately by connecting them with available resources and support within their community. We also provide financial assistance for the family to assist with services that the family is unable to afford. This varies depending on the needs of the family. Some examples are as follows, but are not limited to:
Dominique Cares provides essential services to strengthen families, addressing the lack of affordable and accessible services and lengthy wait lists for waiver programs. We also offer support through a network of community events, such as retreats, outings, and getaways, providing quality time, bonding, and support for families on the same journey. Dominique Cares aims to offer hope and encouragement, building and supporting healthy families and ensuring that they know they are not alone, as many are suffering in silence.
Dominique Cares is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Therefore, all donations are tax-deductible.
Dominique Cares has donors and volunteers who have a heart for giving and serving the individuals and families impacted by a disability. They understand the physical and emotional challenges these families face. We are grateful for individuals who are dedicated to serving, giving, and supporting us in this capacity.
